Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

The time I felt jealousy that negatively affected a relationship I had was when I was in 4th grade, and I had a phone, an Android. I thought I was the best first person in my class to have a phone. I was on top of the world, and my childhood friend didn't have a phone until Christmas. She came to school and showed me her brand new iPhone, it was red, the newest one too, and I felt jealous as all the kids looked at her phone. She was the cool one inside the classroom now; nobody wanted to look at my phone anymore. I stopped talking to her.

We worked on a group project about The Jealous Father, assigned roles to each group partner.

I worked on reading The Jealous Father and anazlying for the group to make it easier.

Today, you learned how to complete a rhetorical analysis planning guide step by step, from identifying the rhetorical situation to analyzing devices and effects. Reflect on one step of the rhetorical analysis process that helped you understand the process more clearly. Explain what you learned during that step and how it improved your ability to analyze a speaker’s message.

Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time).
