Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

The time I felt connected to nature was when I was around 10 or 11 years old, outside with my childhood friend and my sister. We were playing in the playground when we felt little raindrops hit our skin. My friend said we should go and talk to Mother Nature, begging her not to let it rain because we didn't want to go home. So we all went around the back of some building where the woods were, and we screamed with our lungs, "Please don't let it rain, Mother Nature, please." We repeated this like 5 times, and surprisingly, the raindrops slowly stopped.

We took notes today about Native American literature and talked about the different vocabulary we will be learning.

I learned the difference between a myth and an urban legend today.

In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders in truding on their land and their lives. Think about a time whenyou felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes? (Sept 16)
