Discuss something meaningful or memorable you experienced over the break, or reflect on what you felt most thankful for during that time.

My break was definitely interesting. My family doesn't really celebrate Thanksgiving ever since my grandma stopped cooking, so I would just go to my best friend's family to celebrate with them, but this year I couldn't go because I had to do my hair, so my friend was just going to bring me a plate of food instead she put lots of food portions on my plate like mac and chesse, greens, stuffing, corn, turkey, and some mash potatos but before she can give it to me someone else stole my plate and left.

Explain what you learned during that step and how it improved your ability to analyze a speaker’s message.

Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time).
